Wayne Hu

Wayne Hu serves as a Partner at SignalFire, where he directs the venture capital firm's seed-stage investment operations. He originally joined the organization in 2015, taking on a foundational role to help structure and build out the firm's initial investment team during its early development phase. Before establishing his career in early-stage venture capital, Hu completed his undergraduate education by earning an AB in Mathematical Economics from Princeton University. Following his time at Princeton, he furthered his academic background by pursuing advanced studies in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. In his primary investing capacity, he evaluates and executes early-stage funding opportunities with a specific emphasis on consumer applications and emerging technology platforms. Hu maintains a dedicated focus on identifying new seed-stage technology startups and guiding their initial growth trajectories within the venture ecosystem.
