Varsha Rao

Based in San Francisco, Varsha Rao is the CEO of Nurx, a healthcare startup delivering prescriptions and home screening tests directly to consumers. After earning an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, she began her career as a Financial Analyst at Wasserstein Perella before serving as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and Company. In 1998, Rao founded the internet cosmetics retailer Eve.com, which ranked sixth on Fortune Magazine's list of best e-commerce sites before being sold to Idealab in 2000. Her subsequent executive leadership experience includes serving as Head of Global Operations at Airbnb, Chief Operating Officer at Clover Health, and Senior Vice President of International at LivingSocial. Operating as a Sequoia Capital Scout and holding corporate board positions at ViaSat and Callaway Golf, she currently focuses on mission-driven consumer technology and consumer health companies.
