Ravi Viswanathan

Ravi Viswanathan is the Founder and Managing Partner of NewView Capital, a venture capital firm managing $3 billion in assets. Before establishing the firm in 2018 with $1.35 billion in initial capital, he served as a General Partner at NEA, where he co-led the technology venture growth equity practice and acquired a portfolio of 31 companies upon his departure. His earlier career includes roles in the Private Equity Group at Goldman Sachs, management consulting at McKinsey and Company, and scientific research at Raychem Corporation. Viswanathan has directed investments in technology enterprises, including stakes in Braintree prior to its acquisition by PayPal, MuleSoft before its sale to Salesforce, and Plaid. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a PhD from UC Santa Barbara. His current focus centers on scaling enterprise software and fintech companies through flexible investments.
