The Sui Foundation champions the advancement and adoption of the Sui network, a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain. Sui is engineered for low-latency transaction transfers, instant finality, and high-speed throughput, providing a robust platform for demanding on-chain use cases. Sui originated from the work of five former Meta (Novi/Diem) engineers: Evan Cheng, Sam Blackshear, Adeniyi Abiodun, George Danezis, and Kostas Chalkias. These founders established Mysten Labs in 2021, driven by the insight to build foundational infrastructure capable of supporting mass blockchain adoption. Their collective experience in large-scale distributed systems informed the development of Sui’s unique approach to scalability and efficiency.

The Sui network is utilized by developers and creators building a diverse range of applications that require significant performance and low transaction costs.
