JIC Venture Growth Investments (JIC VGI) is the Tokyo, Japan-based venture capital arm of Japan Investment Corporation, a sovereign wealth fund, specializing in venture and growth-stage company investments. The firm targets sectors including Data Core Tech, Industry DX, FinTech, Life Science, and Deep Tech, having invested in over 30 domestic and international startups within its first 16 months. One portfolio company secured 10.5 billion yen in total funding, reflecting JIC VGI's role in supporting innovation alongside partners such as INPEX, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, and JAFCO. Led by CEO Hideki Yarimizu, JIC VGI operates under the broader Japan Investment Corporation, whose JIC Capital arm ranked among top global private equity firms by fundraising in 2021. JIC Venture Growth Investments was established in July 2020 by Japan Investment Corporation.
