The late Zohar Zisapel was a pioneering high-tech entrepreneur and prolific private investor based in Israel who served as the co-founder and chairman of the RAD Group. Alongside his brother Yehuda Zisapel, he established the enterprise in the early 1980s to develop foundational computer communications technologies for the emerging internet era. Under his leadership, the organization expanded into a massive conglomerate of more than 20 independent companies, including several Nasdaq-listed entities that collectively employ over 4,500 people across the country. As one of the nation's most active angel investors, Zisapel helped launch over 100 startups and personally backed prominent technology firms such as Wiz, Innoviz, and Talon Cyber Security. Before his recent passing, his extensive career ultimately focused on advancing the broader Israeli technology ecosystem through strategic early-stage investments in autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity, and medical research.
