Yanai Oron

Yanai Oron is a General Partner at Vertex Ventures Israel, operating out of Tel Aviv to lead early-stage technology investments. Before transitioning to the venture capital industry, he gained operational experience as the General Manager of DefenSoft, a defense technology firm, and served as an officer in the elite Unit 8200 of the Israel Defense Forces. Oron earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. At Vertex Ventures, his investment portfolio includes high-growth enterprise software and cybersecurity startups, with notable board positions and investments in companies such as Axonius and DataRails. His current focus remains on identifying, funding, and scaling early-stage enterprise technology companies by leveraging his extensive background in military intelligence and corporate leadership.
