Wyc Grousbeck

Wyc Grousbeck is the co-lead owner and CEO of the Boston Celtics and a co-founder and partner at Causeway Media Partners, based in the Boston area. Before forming an investment group to acquire the NBA franchise in 2002, he spent seven years as a partner at the venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners. Through Causeway Media Partners, Grousbeck manages over $330 million in assets, directing growth equity investments into sports technology companies such as SeatGeek. Under his leadership, the Celtics secured multiple championships before he announced a record $6.1 billion sale of the team, transitioning to a co-lead ownership role with a 13 percent stake. He also co-founded Cincoro Tequila alongside Michael Jordan, selling over two million bottles to date.
