WILFRED FIANKO

Wilfred Fianko is a General Partner and Co-founder at Cornerstone VC, an early-stage venture capital firm based in London, United Kingdom. Before establishing the investment firm, he built a corporate career in financial services and strategic consulting, holding advisory and banking positions at KPMG, UBS, Goldman Sachs, and Lloyds Bank. He previously served as Chairman of Cornerstone Partners, a prominent angel investment network, before transitioning to institutional venture capital. Under his leadership, Cornerstone VC raised a £20 million fund in 2023 to back up to 40 companies and has participated in 14 investments totaling $25.4 million, writing initial checks between $317,500 and $1.27 million. Fianko currently focuses his investment strategy on pre-seed and seed-stage technology startups across B2B software, business services, and e-commerce, maintaining a specific mandate to support diverse founders throughout the United Kingdom.
