Vishal Gulati is the Founder and Managing Partner at Recode Ventures, a specialized venture capital firm he established in 2022 to invest in healthcare innovation. A physician-scientist by training, he has accumulated over 15 years of direct investment experience at prominent institutions including Atlas Venture, Molten Ventures, and Oxford Science Enterprises. In addition to his primary venture capital role, Gulati serves as an independent member on the investment committees for the Cancer Research UK Seed Fund and the University of Cambridge seed fund. Throughout his nearly three-decade career bridging medicine and finance, he has backed more than 40 companies, with a current portfolio featuring Sensible Biotechnologies, Probably Genetic, and Lab Genius.
