Vidu Shanmugarajah

Vidu Shanmugarajah is a General Partner at GV based in London, where he focuses on early-stage technology investments across the European market. He began his professional career in corporate law at Linklaters, managing mergers, acquisitions, and financing, before transitioning to private equity at HgCapital and enterprise software investing at Grafton Capital. After founding an online legal services platform for small businesses, he joined GV in 2014 as a lawyer and spent a decade building his venture capital track record. His investment portfolio includes artificial intelligence and software companies such as Lawhive, Metaview, and Synthesia. He notably backed Synthesia during its early stages, leading to the company eventually raising a $200 million Series E round at a $4 billion valuation. Shanmugarajah currently focuses on funding and scaling early-stage AI, legal tech, and enterprise software startups.
