Uri Boness

Uri Boness is a Founder and Engineer at Elastic, a global software company specializing in enterprise search and data analytics. He brings over 12 years of technical experience focused specifically on open source Enterprise Java technologies and scalable enterprise search solutions. Prior to his current position, Boness served as the Head of the Search Department at Orange11, where he directed the firm's technical strategy and established its international presence in the open source search market. As an active contributor to the Apache Lucene ecosystem, he founded the Dutch Apache Lucene User Group and has played a key role in developing major Elastic product releases, including the Shield and Watcher platforms. His current focus remains on advancing open source search technologies and expanding the technical capabilities of the broader Apache Lucene developer community.
