Tim Ranzetta is currently the Managing Partner at Next Coast Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas. Before joining the firm in 2022, he served as the Co-founder and CEO of Student Loan Hero, scaling the debt management platform to over five million users before its acquisition by LendingTree at a valuation exceeding $100 million in 2020. Earlier in his career, the Stanford University graduate held various product management roles at technology companies including TiVo. In his current investing capacity, he oversees a growing portfolio of more than twenty companies and recently directed a 2024 investment in the education technology startup Merit. Ranzetta leverages his entrepreneurial background to focus primarily on seed and Series A investments across the education technology, financial services, and consumer internet sectors within the central United States.
