Thibaud Hug de Larauze is an early-stage technology investor and the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Back Market, based in Paris, France. Under his executive leadership since 2014, the refurbished electronics marketplace has expanded operations across Europe and the United States, ultimately securing a $5.7 billion valuation following a $510 million Series E funding round in early 2022. This significant capital raise was supported by a syndicate of prominent global investment firms, including General Atlantic, Eurazeo, and Generation Investment Management. Prior to establishing his current enterprise, he spent several years managing international sales and account operations at the e-commerce software provider Neteven, where he developed his expertise in digital marketplaces.
