Shintaro Kaido is the Director of Technology Commercialization and New Ventures at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. He previously served as the Vice Provost for Innovation and Executive Director of Drexel Applied Innovation at Drexel University, where he guided the translation of academic research into market-ready startups. In 2022, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf appointed him to the board of the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, an organization that invests more than $25 million annually into early-stage regional companies. Additionally, he is a Kauffman Fellow within a global venture capital network representing over $290 billion in assets under management, and he serves on the Leadership Council for Activate.
