Shaun Johnson

Shaun Johnson is a Partner at AIX Ventures based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he focuses on investments in artificial intelligence and enterprise software. Prior to his venture capital career, he held engineering and corporate strategy roles at Applied Materials, bridging enterprise operational needs with emerging technological solutions. At AIX Ventures, he manages a portfolio of more than 20 companies and recently helped raise a new fund in late 2024 targeting over $200 million for artificial intelligence enterprise investments. In the first quarter of 2025, he led an investment in a generative AI platform and frequently engages with founders connected to the OpenAI and NVIDIA ecosystems. Following his 2024 speaking engagement at NeurIPS, his current focus remains on identifying and scaling deep tech and machine learning startups that build transformative enterprise AI infrastructure.
