Shanbor Gupta

Shanbor Gupta is a Principal at Clean Energy Ventures, where he leads greenhouse gas impact assessments and drives the firm's European investment efforts. He began his career in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at KPMG India before transitioning into entrepreneurship. Gupta subsequently founded two startups, including Webcel Solutions and SES Environmental, the latter of which he scaled to over 100 personnel before forming a 2012 joint venture with Shields Environmental Plc. In his current investment role, he serves as a Board Observer for several climate technology portfolio companies, including Aqua Membranes, Carbon Upcycling, Evari, and OXCCU. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Birmingham and earned an MBA from Babson College in 2020. His current focus centers on scaling clean energy ventures and advancing emissions quantification methodologies across the climatetech sector.
