Ron Pragides

Ron Pragides is the Managing Partner at TheVentureCity, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Miami, Florida. In March 2025, he launched the firm's $50 million Fund II, which targets pre-seed and seed investments in artificial intelligence and climate technology startups globally. Previously, Pragides served as Managing Director for the Latin America accelerator at Techstars, where he directed the acceleration of more than 100 emerging companies. His venture capital background also includes operational and investment roles at 500 Global and Plug and Play Tech Center, contributing to a personal portfolio of over 50 investments alongside figures like Nubank founder David Vélez. Recently appointed as an advisor to Rappi following an October 2025 Miami Demo Day for 20 startups, Pragides focuses on scaling global technology ecosystems through early-stage capital allocation and strategic founder acceleration.
