RODNEY APPIAH

Rodney Appiah is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Cornerstone VC, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on African technology startups. Under his leadership, the firm manages more than $50 million in total assets under management and has built a portfolio of over 20 companies, including notable investments in Kuda, Curacel, and PiggyVest. In 2025, Appiah directed a $15 million Series A funding round for a portfolio financial technology startup and subsequently presented at the Africa Tech Summit in Nairobi in March 2026. Before establishing his venture capital firm, he founded multiple startup companies within the financial technology and e-commerce sectors and completed his formal undergraduate education at the University of Ghana. His current investment strategy primarily centers on bridging global capital with high-growth African technology enterprises operating across the agriculture, healthcare, and logistics sectors.
