Rick Lewis is a General Partner at U.S. Venture Partners (USVP), focusing on enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and media investments. Before joining USVP, he spent six years in software engineering leadership at Autodesk, consulted for Walt Disney Imagineering, and co-founded software companies Design Variations and Common Point Technologies. His early career included technical and strategic roles at Sun Microsystems, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and McKinsey & Company, supported by computer science degrees from UC Berkeley and UC Davis, alongside an MBA from Harvard Business School. As an investor, Lewis has led funding rounds resulting in more than eleven successful portfolio exits to major acquirers such as Microsoft, PayPal, Airbnb, and IBM. He currently serves on the boards of seven active portfolio companies, maintaining a strategic focus on scaling early-stage enterprise and consumer technology platforms.
