Raymond Tonsing

Raymond Tonsing is the Founder and Managing Partner of Caffeinated Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. In this role, he leads investments ranging from the pre-seed to Series B stages, typically writing initial checks between $1 million and $5 million for technology startups. His venture portfolio includes early investments in prominent technology companies such as Affirm, Airtable, Brex, and Opendoor. Before establishing his current firm, Tonsing served as a Partner at Akkadian Ventures, a secondary fund providing liquidity to high-growth technology enterprises, and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder. Earlier in his professional career, he helped develop energy industry information platforms including Energy Central and Rigzone. Today, his primary focus remains on backing early-stage technology founders across global markets from inception through their subsequent growth phases.
