Michael G. Rubin

Michael G. Rubin is a General Partner at The Venture Collective based in San Francisco, California, where he invests in seed and Series A technology startups. Before assuming his current position, he served as a Venture Partner at the firm from 2020 to 2022 following an early career in product management at several emerging technology companies. His portfolio encompasses more than 15 investments, highlighted by a 2024 exit when one of his backed companies was acquired by Salesforce. In recent deal activity, Rubin led a $4 million seed funding round for the artificial intelligence startup Nexlify in March 2026 and joined the fintech unicorn Brex as an advisor.
