MICHAEL BAUER

Michael Bauer is a Berlin-based Venture Partner at Novo Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage deep tech and climate tech investments across Europe. Before joining the firm in early 2024, he served as a Partner at Atlantic Labs from 2018 to 2023, leading investments in more than 20 startups. His earlier career includes early-stage venture investment roles and entrepreneurial experience in the biotechnology sector, supported by a business administration degree from the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Over his career, Bauer has backed over 30 companies, participating in the 2023 expansion round for the climate tech startup Enpal and supporting the early growth of the mobility unicorn FlixBus. In his present capacity, he actively leverages his extensive European venture capital experience to advise founders and scale innovative technologies addressing global climate and industrial challenges.
