MEHMET ATICI

Mehmet Atici is a Managing Partner at Bek Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Istanbul, Turkey. He previously served as a General Partner at Earlybird Venture Capital, where he co-led the Earlybird Digital East Fund starting in 2013 before the independent entity officially spun off and rebranded. Under his leadership, the investment team has backed approximately 38 companies, generating $2.4 billion in realized returns and securing early stakes in notable enterprise unicorns such as UiPath and Payhawk. Atici recently helped raise a $250 million Fund III designed to support 20 technology startups across the region, with initial capital already deployed into companies like Zeta Labs. His current focus remains on identifying and scaling early-stage technology enterprises originating from Central and Eastern Europe that maintain strong follow-on investment metrics, with 90% of portfolio companies receiving subsequent funding.
