MEENA HARRIS

Meena Harris, the niece of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, is the Founder and CEO of Phenomenal Media and a General Partner at Phenomenal Ventures. Before transitioning to venture capital, she worked as an attorney specializing in consumer protection, cybersecurity, and data privacy, holding early corporate roles at technology companies including Facebook, Slack, and Uber. In February 2023, Harris officially launched Phenomenal Ventures with a $6 million debut fund, writing check sizes ranging from $100,000 to $500,000 for pre-seed to Series A rounds. The venture firm has already invested in 13 early-stage enterprise, fintech, and commerce startups, intentionally allocating capital to nine companies led by underrepresented founders. Beyond her investing career, she successfully scaled the Phenomenal brand from activist T-shirts into a broader media and entertainment company that centers women and historically excluded communities.
