Matt Ocko

Matt Ocko is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of DCVC Management, a deep tech venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. Before establishing DCVC, he founded and served as the Vice President of R&D at Da Vinci Systems, an early email software vendor that acquired over one million users before its corporate acquisition. He holds a physics degree from Yale University and is listed as an inventor on more than 50 patents spanning computer virtualization, fraud detection, and augmented reality. Across his three-decade venture capital career, Ocko has backed numerous high-profile technology companies, including early investments in Zoom, Uber, and Facebook, while overseeing a current portfolio of over 200 startups across 13 funds. His current investment strategy focuses on deep technology applications in artificial intelligence, computational drug discovery, robotics, and United States national security.
