Mark Cuban

Mark Cuban is an American businessman, an investor on the reality television show Shark Tank, and the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, currently based in Dallas, Texas. He established his initial fortune and became a billionaire following the 1999 acquisition of his technology startup Broadcast.com by Yahoo!. Prior to his high-profile entrepreneurial exits, he earned a Bachelor of Science in management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington in 1981. As an active venture investor, he has backed numerous technology startups and media ventures, including an early corporate investment in Weblogs, Inc. Recently, he co-launched the Business Leaders for Harris political initiative alongside Reid Hoffman ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Cuban maintains a primary professional focus on managing his extensive venture capital portfolio, sports franchise ownership, and ongoing media entertainment engagements.
