Marcelo Lima

Marcelo Lima is a General Partner at Monashees based in São Paulo, Brazil, where he specializes in early-stage venture capital investments across the Latin American market. Before joining the venture capital firm, he spent four years working as a Strategic Consultant at Roland Berger, advising corporate clients in the financial services and energy sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from ITA and subsequently completed a corporate finance extension program at UC Berkeley. As an active investor, Lima has backed numerous prominent technology startups, including companies such as Ualá, MadeiraMadeira, and Méliuz, while also participating in the Kauffman Fellows program as a member of Class 23. His current investment strategy primarily targets the financial technology and enterprise software sectors, leveraging his combined engineering and finance expertise to identify and scale emerging regional businesses.
