Marc van den Berg

Marc van den Berg is the Managing Director at OGCI Climate Investments, where he leads the ventures team focused on funding industrial decarbonization technologies. Backed by major energy corporations including Exxon, Chevron, TotalEnergies, and Shell, his firm manages a portfolio of over 40 companies that have collectively generated 38.3 million metric tonnes of greenhouse gas impact. Under his leadership in 2024, the firm executed six new investments and ten follow-on transactions while launching a dedicated growth equity strategy. Recent portfolio additions include capital deployments into XOCEAN, Zeitview, and Cyclic Materials, alongside ongoing efforts to raise a new $1 billion impact venture fund. Having previously helped separate the firm as an independent fund manager, van den Berg focuses on deploying capital into climate tech solutions targeting energy systems, carbon capture, and waste-to-value applications across energy-intensive industries.
