Mamoon Hamid

Mamoon Hamid is a Partner at Kleiner Perkins based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he specializes in early-stage venture capital investments. He began his professional career as an engineer at Xilinx before transitioning into the venture capital sector in 2005 as a Partner at USVP. In 2011, Hamid co-founded the investment firm Social Capital, operating there as a General Partner until he joined Kleiner Perkins in 2017. Over his two decades in the industry, he has served as an early investor and board member for several prominent technology startups, including Figma, Slack, and Box. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, a Master of Science from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His current focus remains on backing founders building transformative enterprise technology companies.
