Kyle Vogt is the Founder and CEO of The Bot Company, a consumer robotics startup based in San Francisco, California. After studying computer science and electrical engineering at MIT, he worked as a product leader at Justin.tv before co-founding Socialcam, which was acquired by Autodesk, and Twitch, which was subsequently acquired by Amazon. In 2013, Vogt co-founded Cruise Automation to engineer self-driving car technology, guiding the firm to an acquisition by General Motors for over $1 billion in March 2016. Under his continued leadership post-acquisition, Cruise achieved a $30 billion valuation, secured more than $7 billion in total outside investment capital, and successfully completed 250,000 driverless passenger rides. Established in 2024, his current venture represents a return to early-stage hardware engineering with a specific focus on building autonomous robots to manage everyday household tasks.
