Julia Hartz is the Co-Founder and CEO of Eventbrite, a global ticketing and event technology platform based in San Francisco, California. Since co-founding the company in 2006 with Kevin Hartz and Renaud Visage using less than $250,000 in initial capital, she has scaled operations to encompass over 700 employees across 16 offices. Under her leadership, Eventbrite completed a $1.76 billion initial public offering in 2018, sold over 83 million tickets in 2025, and was acquired by technology firm Bending Spoons for $437 million in January 2026. Before entering the technology sector, she worked as a television development executive at MTV and FX Networks, and she currently serves on the board of directors for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
