Julia Hartz

Julia Hartz is the Co-Founder and CEO of Eventbrite, a global ticketing and event technology platform based in San Francisco, California. Since co-founding the company in 2006 with Kevin Hartz and Renaud Visage using less than $250,000 in initial capital, she has scaled operations to encompass over 700 employees across 16 offices. Under her leadership, Eventbrite completed a $1.76 billion initial public offering in 2018, sold over 83 million tickets in 2025, and was acquired by technology firm Bending Spoons for $437 million in January 2026. Before entering the technology sector, she worked as a television development executive at MTV and FX Networks, and she currently serves on the board of directors for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Hartz leverages her background in media and entertainment to focus on expanding digital infrastructure for live experiences.
