Jonathan Swanson is the Co-founder and Chairman of Thumbtack and the Co-founder of Athena, currently based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He launched the local services marketplace Thumbtack in 2008, helping scale the platform into a multibillion-dollar enterprise that secured a $275 million funding round at a $3.2 billion valuation in 2021. In 2017, he established Athena, an executive assistance and delegation company that evaluates 50,000 applicants monthly and has grown into a nine-figure business. Before his entrepreneurial career in the technology sector, he earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University and served as a policy analyst and Deputy Associate Director for the White House National Economic Council. Swanson maintains an active presence as an angel investor with a portfolio exceeding 100 startup investments, focusing primarily on online marketplaces, remote work solutions, and personal productivity tools.
