Fidji Simo

Fidji Simo is the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board at Instacart, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining the grocery delivery platform, she spent a decade at Meta, culminating in her role as Vice President and Head of the Facebook App, where she oversaw a product used by billions globally. Under her leadership, Instacart completed its initial public offering on the Nasdaq in September 2023 at a $9.9 billion valuation. Beyond her primary executive duties, she serves on the board of directors for OpenAI and Shopify, and co-founded the Metrodora Institute to advance research in neuroimmune disorders. She holds a Master in Management from HEC Paris and began her career in strategy at eBay. Her career centers on scaling consumer technology platforms, driving e-commerce growth, and advancing healthcare initiatives.
