Evan Murphy

Evan Murphy is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Zitara Technologies, an enterprise software provider specializing in battery management systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Caltech and has spent nearly two decades building data infrastructure across multiple complex industries. Prior to Zitara, Murphy developed simulation software for Autopilot at Tesla, built high-frequency trading infrastructure for financial markets, and engineered lab informatics for cancer research before an acquisition by AbbVie. As an entrepreneur and Y Combinator alumnus, he previously co-founded the physical toy company E&M Labs, where he successfully launched three Kickstarter projects, sustained four years of retail operations, and sold approximately 10,000 units. His current technical focus centers on developing scalable software solutions for large battery energy storage systems and managing complex physical asset deployments across the energy sector.
