Ben Silbermann

Ben Silbermann is the Executive Chairman of Pinterest and co-founder of How We Feel, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from Yale University, he began his career in the AdSense division at Google before leaving to develop early consumer web applications. Alongside co-founder Evan Sharp, he launched Pinterest in 2009, scaling the visual discovery platform to an initial public offering in April 2019 that achieved an approximate $12 billion valuation. In June 2022, he transitioned from his long-held position as Chief Executive Officer to his current board role, transferring leadership to former Google executive Bill Ready. He also launched the non-profit emotional well-being application How We Feel in 2021, which received a 2022 Apple App Store Award. His professional background primarily centers on building large-scale consumer internet platforms and digital curation tools.
