Abdul Basharat

Abdul Basharat is the co-founder and CEO of Cartage, an AI-powered freight coordination startup based in San Francisco, California. Under his leadership, the company participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch and raised $3.3 million from investors including Garage Capital and Paul Graham. Basharat recently directed Cartage's acquisition of Westcore Logistics, a carrier that previously scaled to over $50 million in revenue, positioning the startup to process $2 million in near-term shipments. Before founding Cartage, he served as the Product Lead for network and product-led growth at Rose Rocket, a trucking software platform. His earlier career includes launching a business-to-business platform at Pathstream, working in management consulting at McKinsey, and completing military pilot training. Basharat currently focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to automate supply chain operations for freight carriers.
