Helen Ventures

Helen Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Helen Ltd, a major Finnish energy company, based in Helsinki, Finland, investing in early-stage startups across Europe and Israel to accelerate the energy transition. The firm manages a €50 million investment fund, strategically targeting companies in renewable technologies, smart grids, energy efficiency, e-mobility, circular economy, and digital tools for the energy sector. To date, Helen Ventures has deployed capital into 7 startups, with portfolio companies including node.energy, which previously raised a €7 million Series A, and enspired GmbH, which secured an $8.7 million round in 2022. These investments align with the parent company Helen Ltd's objectives for decarbonization and innovation within the broader energy landscape. The organization was established in 2019 by Terhi Vapola, who also serves as its Vice President and head.
