BioVentures Investors is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage medical technology, diagnostics, and digital healthcare companies, and is based in Wellesley, Massachusetts. The firm manages over $200 million in assets under management across four limited partner venture capital funds, including its $87 million Fund IV which closed in 2016. Over the last decade, the organization has completed 28 transactions within the MedTech sector and achieved 20 successful exits by targeting value growth within three to five years. Its investment portfolio features medical device and biotechnology startups such as Endotronix and Locemia Solutions, the latter of which was acquired by Eli Lilly. The leadership team of the firm notably includes senior partner Walter Gilbert, a Nobel Laureate and founder of Biogen. BioVentures Investors was founded in 1998 by managing partners Marc Goldberg and Peter Feinstein.
